Sigma Phi Epsilon

Welcome to the Cal Beta Beta Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of San Diego.

In SigEp, we strive in every way to live up to our Three Cardinal Principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love. We acknowledge that the members of our fraternity be men of diversified abilities and talents. In Ancient Greece, developing mind and body were two complementary partners of a quality education. Honoring this Greek ideal, SigEp adopted the Balanced Man Program replacing the Pledge Process in 1991. Since then, our fraternity has retained the most members at 90% and has had more members join than any other fraternity. Pursuing our Three Cardinal Principles and the Balanced Program, our members develop to become Balanced Men, Leaders, and Gentlemen.

As Aristotle states, "Great leaders are not born, they are developed...fired in the crucible of experience and opportunity." Sigma Phi Epsilon grants each member this experience and opportunity in order to allow ourselves to become men of higher principle.
